SeedVue desktop application and desktop.seedvue.com · Last updated 1 August 2026
SeedVue is seed inventory management software for Windows, published by Prigital Corp. This policy explains what the application sends to us, what this website collects, and how long anything is kept.
Your business data stays on your own systems
SeedVue connects directly to a Microsoft SQL Server database that you or your organisation control. Your inventory, customers, growers, quotes, orders, test results and pricing live in that database and on your own network.
None of that information is transmitted to Prigital Corp. SeedVue has no cloud sync, no central data store, and no way for us to read your database. Exports and reports you generate are written to locations you choose on your own computer or network.
What the application does send
Each time SeedVue starts, it makes a single request to our update service at
desktop-api.seedvue.com to record the launch and to ask whether a newer
version has been released. That request contains:
- the computer's hostname;
- the SeedVue version running;
- the Windows version;
- the name of the SQL Server the copy is configured to use (the server name only — no database contents, credentials, or queries); and
- the public IP address the request arrives from, which is inherent to any internet connection.
We use this to know which versions are in use so we can support them, to tell the application whether an update is available, and to identify installations we are asked to support. The request carries no personal information beyond the above, and no contents of your database.
How long we keep it
- Individual launch records are deleted automatically 400 days after they are created.
- One summary record per computer — hostname, most recent version, Windows version, SQL Server name, first and last seen dates, and a launch count — is kept for as long as that installation is in service, so we can answer "which version is this site running?" without keeping the full history.
- Diagnostic logs from the update service are kept for 30 days and then deleted.
How to turn it off
The update check is optional and can be disabled entirely. Set the registry value
Disable Update Check to 1 under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Prigital\SeedVue\Settings. No request is
then made and nothing is recorded. SeedVue will keep working normally, but it will
no longer be able to tell you when a new version is available.
This website
desktop.seedvue.com serves a download page and installer files. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, embeds no third-party content, and has no forms or accounts. Nothing you do here is tied to you personally.
Who else sees any of this
We do not sell, rent, or share this information, and we do not use it for advertising. It is stored on Amazon Web Services, which hosts our infrastructure on our behalf. We would disclose information only if required to by law.
Security
The update request and this website are served over HTTPS. Stored records are encrypted at rest by our hosting provider, and access is limited to Prigital Corp. personnel who need it to support the product. Our installers are digitally signed so you can verify a download genuinely came from us.
Children
SeedVue is business software for agricultural operations. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the application sends or how long we keep it, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
